Mash Café Brain Food Promotion - Ecological Organic & Ethical Books including Recipes available at Blue Mountains Blaxland Library

Charity

At Mash Cafe we have more than just great food on our mind, we dedicate a portion of tips left by our customers to help a couple of very worthy causes, we thank the generosity of our amazing customers for enabling us to help others!

Mash as an organization decided to sponsor a world vision child, her name is Tinotenda, she is 5. Since we have been sponsoring her, the communtiy she lives in has benefited by having drinking water, installation of Blair toilets & also being educated in farming practices and general hygiene. We simply wanted to be a part of the mass doing something small, to make a big impact.

We have also embarked on a community program with the Salvation Army, feeding the homeless.

Every Sunday night our team of talented chefs prepare some hearty & nutrituous meals using up left over food that most restaurants would normally throw in the bin, Mash cafe staff then take this food to the local Salvation Army 'welfare house' where we help them feed the homeless and poor, and just hang about having a chat and hearing thier stories.

Everyone involved in this will agree that the experience is very humbling & rewarding, and we are coming to realise whilst we cannot make a big difference, its the little things that we are capable of doing that really count!

We are also supporting - Bread for Good

We encourage our customers to donate $2 or more when ordering bread. Donations go to "Bread for Good". For more information on the project go to: http://www.breadforgood.com.au/
